Board of <scp>D</scp>irectors' characteristics and environmental <scp>SDGs</scp> adoption: an international study

Drivers of environmentally conscious firm behaviour have gained increasing attention over past decades. The Board Directors holds a central role in corporate decision-making, and previous empirical evidence suggests that its characteristics could influence environmental performance. This paper contributes to the literature with first certain board on whether ultimately supports one or more SDGs. Our focus is size, gender diversity, independence CEO duality. Logistic fractional regressions 4417 globally listed firms highlight share female directors, independent directors are significant drivers support for results insights revealed this study should be helpful policymakers, investors corporations evaluating effectiveness governance fostering contributions 2030 Agenda.
